Click images for closer views. I first began throwing in undergrad at Ohio Northern University in the 90s. I recently rediscovered it after finding that working with clay helped me deal with the arthritis in my hands. I would definitely classify myself as an amateur, but I have always found that throwing, trimming, and all things ceramics are a great source of mental and physical centering – so the practice is as important to me as the ability to see something be created by my own hands.
